A vehicle seat pad having improved seating comfort, in which a recess is formed upward from a bottom surface of a pad body and an insertion body is inserted in the recess. A cushion pad of the vehicle seat pad (10) has the pad body (20), the insertion body (30) fitted in the recess (24) of the pad body (20), and a hard layer (40) secured to a ceiling surface of the recess (24). A large number of projections (31) are formed on an upper surface of the insertion body (30), and there are air gaps (32) between the projections (31). The air gaps (32) are communicated with a seat surface via holes (27) and communicated with a seat surface of the insertion body (30) via a through hole (33).
