METHOD FOR INDUCING THE DIFFERENTIATION OF HUMAN MYELOGENOUS LEUKEMIA CELLS INTO MEGAKARYOCYTES AND THROMBOCYTES

A method for inducing the differentiation of human myelogenous leukemia cells into megakaryocytes is provided to show excellent inducing capacity of differentiating the human myelogenous leukemia cells into the megakaryocytes by using a compound of (R)-NALPCE(N-steroyl-O-phosphocholine-D-serine methyl ester) and OP9 cells. The method for inducing differentiation of human myelogenous leukemia cells into megakaryocytes comprises the steps of: (a) culturing OP9 cells for 18-36 hours; (b) dividing the human myelogenous leukemia cells on the OP9 cells; and (c) adding a compound represented by the formula(1) at a concentration of 10-50 mug/ml thereto. The composition for inducing the differentiation of human myelogenous leukemia cells into megakaryocytes comprises the OP9 cells and the compound of the formula(1).
