<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of manufacturing a metal carbide simply, economically, and without any problem on safety. <P>SOLUTION: This is a method of manufacturing a metal carbide using a carbon-containing matter and a metal powder as feedstocks, and it is synthesized by mechanical alloying treatment.
