<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-piece can having sufficient can body strength and excellent corrosion resistance, and to provide a forming method capable of easily manufacturing the two-piece can without cracks. <P>SOLUTION: The two-piece can is formed of a laminate steel sheet as a material, and comprises a bottomed, cylindrical can barrel portion. The can barrel portion is contracted to the diameter smaller than the diameter of the can barrel on the opening side while satisfying the inequalities (1) and (2), and a bead part with an opening tip being curled in a longitudinally elliptical section outward of the can is formed on the opening side of the can barrel.
