<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a direct current power source unit including a fuel battery to be connected to an existing electronic apparatus without changing an interface. <P>SOLUTION: The battery device (200) in the electronic apparatus (100) is provided with a secondary battery (230), a fuel battery (240), and an operation time calculating means (270) receiving data (232) showing voltage-residue characteristics from the secondary battery and data (Z<SB>F</SB>) showing a fuel residue from the fuel battery. The operation time calculating means finds data showing a residue of the secondary battery and an operation time of the secondary battery from supply voltage (V<SB>L</SB>) and supply current (I<SB>L</SB>) of the secondary battery according to the data showing the voltage-residue characteristics, finds a fuel battery operation time from the data showing the fuel battery residue and fuel battery supply current (I<SB>F</SB>), and estimates which of the secondary battery and the fuel battery first reaches a given residue. When the fuel battery is estimated to reach the given residue first, an operation time (T<SB>A</SB>) of the battery device is found based on the data (Z<SB>L</SB>) showing the secondary battery residue, the data (Z<SB>F</SB>) showing the fuel battery residue and supply currents (I<SB>L</SB>, I<SB>F</SB>) of the secondary battery and the fuel battery to supply a power control means (130) with data showing the operation time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
