<p>An axillary thermometer for measuring the temperature of the patient is provided. The axillary thermometer is of generally arcuate shape permitting it to conform to a patient's upper arm when temperature measurements are being administered. The probe of the thermometer is shaped such that it fits snugl y and comfortably in the axillary region of the patient and includes a temperature sensor positioned about the probe for obtaining the most accurat e measurements. The arcuate design and probe configuration of the axillary thermometer enhances the temperature measuring process in the axillary regio n.</p>
