[Class 20 (iii)] In an arrangement for mounting a glass or like panel in a frame as described and claimed in Specification 512,553 means engaging the edge of the panel 10 additional to the resilient strip 16 are provided for the purpose of locating the panel in the channelled frame members 11. As shown in Fig. 3, the additional locating means consist of a series of spaced tongues 18 turned up from the sides 12 of the members 11 and permitting the rubber strip 16 itself to engage the edges of the panel 10 at points between the tongues. In another construction, Fig. 5, a series of metal inserts 19 are disposed with the channelled frame members and are provided with flanges 20 bearing against the edges of the panel 10.</p> |
