<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate response according to the abrasion level of a body to be electrified, without increasing the cost of an image forming apparatus, in the image forming apparatus variably controlling an electrifying bias. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 is provided with a rotatable photoreceptor 1 having an electrostatic latent image formed on a surface thereof and an electrifying device 2 to which the electrifying bias is applied and which electrifies the surface of the photoreceptor 1. A controller 7 calculates the integrated value of the product of the speed of revolution of the photoreceptor 1 and a coefficient corresponding to the electrifying bias at that time and controls image forming conditions such as the electrifying bias, based on the calculated integrated value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
