<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-quality wide dynamic range image having high S/N ratio when images having different exposure times are synthesized and output. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus has an input means 1 for inputting a long-time exposure time image signal picked up at a first exposure time, and a short-time exposure image signal picked up at a second exposure time shorter than the first exposure time; image signal processing means 6, 7 for eliminating signals of not more than a predetermined value in the short-time exposure image signal; and image synthesizing means 8-13 each for forming a synthesized image signal on the basis of the short-time exposure image signal from which signals of not more than a predetermined value are eliminated and the long-time exposure image signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
