PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact flash module functioning as an auxiliary light and a flash for autofocusing.

SOLUTION: The flash module 200 has a first light-emitting diode (LED) 204 optically coupled to a first lens 214 having a first viewing angle 220 and a second LED 202 optically coupled to a second lens 212 having a second viewing angle 218. The second viewing angle is larger than the first viewing angle. A first control signal line 412 coupled to the first LED is permitted to selectively activate the first LED. A second control signal line 414 coupled to the second LED is permitted to selectively activate the second LED.
