PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-precision multi-bit analog-digital conversion circuit. SOLUTION: An A/D converter 1 comprises a sample hold circuit 2, first- to fourth-stage circuits 3 to 6, a latch circuit 7, and an output circuit 8. The first- to third-stage circuits 3 to 5 comprise a sub A/D converter 9, a D/A converter 10, and a differential amplifier 11. The fourth-stage circuit 6 comprises only a sub A/D converter 9. The first-stage circuit 3 is of four bits, and the second- to fourth-stage circuits 4 are each of two bits.
