PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor microphone which solves at least one out of problems that an external circuit board can not be joined through the use of surface mount techniques, and that the height of the capacitor microphone is undesirably high, etc. SOLUTION: The capacitor microphone has a casing, a substrate, a diaphragm-ring assembly, a spacer, and a back plate. The casing has a circumferential wall having an upper end and a bottom end defining a bottom opening, and a flange bent in the inside direction from the upper end of the circumferential wall. The substrate is attached to the bottom end, covers the bottom opening, and moreover has an internal face defining an acceptance space between the circumferential wall and the flange by cooperating with them. The diaphragm-ring assembly is arranged in the acceptance space. The spacer is arranged in the acceptance space between the diaphragm-ring assembly and the internal face of the substrate.
