PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a video data information display in which a user can set an intuitively comprehensible thumbnail image for a title, can identify mutually related titles intuitively among a plurality of titles recorded on a recording medium, and can identify the difference between mutually related titles. SOLUTION: When a plurality of mutually related titles (titles 401a-401d) of serial dramas or the like are recorded on a recording medium, thumbnail pointers 410b-410d of other titles 401b-401d are set to specify a thumbnail original image 406 used for the thumbnail image of some title (parent title 401a). When the thumbnail of each title is displayed, synthetic thumbnail images 408a-408d compounding the information of each title (title inherent information 410a-410d) are formed on the pattern of the thumbnail original image.
