PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat fixing device which achieves the improvement in the safety of the fixing device using ceramic heaters. SOLUTION: A temperature protection element can be actuated before the destruction of the heaters in case of abnormality by constituting so that the temperature protection element installed on an electrode side of a heating element end restriction section where the resistance value at both ends is made higher than that in the central part by moving the resistance heating element back and forth in a longitudinal direction, and an end thermistor is installed on a loop back side.
