PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely seal a lubricant filled in an engagement portion of a housing and a shaft body in a coupling, to prevent intrusion of foreign matters into the engagement portion from the external, to improve durability and reliability of a sealing function, and to extend service life of the coupling. SOLUTION: In this seal structure of the coupling, a circular seal member 20 is fixed to the shaft body 3. The seal member 20 is provided with two lips 23, 24, a folded tip portion 23b of the lip 23 is kept into contact with a contact face 17a of a flange portion 17 of a housing 10, and a folded tip portion 24b of the lip 24 is kept into contact with a contact face 16a of a flange portion 16 of the housing 10. The lubricant 40 of the engagement portion 14 is sealed by the lip 23, and the intrusion of foreign matters 41 from the external is prevented by the lip 24. Abrasion of the tip portions 23b, 24b is reduced by exclusive grease filled in a space 18, and the durability is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
