PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chemical composition having excellent effect of providing plants with environmental stress resistance and effectively providing plants with environmental stress resistance. SOLUTION: The chemical composition for providing plants with the environmental stress resistance comprises an enzymatically hydrolyzed product of yeast cell wall. The use of an enzymatically hydrolyzed product of yeast cell wall for providing plants with environmental stress resistance is provided. The method for improving imparting property of environmental stress strain of plant of plant activator comprises adding an enzymatically hydrolyzed product of yeast cell wall to the plant activator.
