<p>A linear electron beam (1) generated from an electron source is emitted in vacuum to intersect an electromagnetic beam (4) focused to a magnitude of approximately a wavelength, and the speed of the electron beam is modulated at a frequency of the electromagnetic wave by the electric field or the magnetic field of the electromagnetic beam. The electron beam can be modulated to be in a high frequency band, and high conversion efficiency, miniaturization and cost reduction can be achieved.</p> |
