Composite floor element

A building is assembled from pre-fabricated components including a modular floor structure (1) with a surrounding U-section frame (2) and U-section sheet steel beam (3) link fittings both embedded in adjacent sections. The prefabricated floor further has a layer of thermal insulation under the concrete slab floor that also serves as disposable shuttering for the floor casting process.
