The cooking device has a muffle containing a cooking chamber (3), where the muffle includes a bottom sided muffle opening. A bottom door (7) with a hob is provided at an upper side for closing the muffle opening. A warm keeping mode for opening condition and another warm keeping mode for closing condition are provided. Hot air operation is enabled in the warm keeping mode for closed condition using a blower. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a high level cooking device.
