<p>A current sensor comprises a magnetic module, whereby a primary conductor, a compensating winding and a magnetic field probe are magnetically coupled to each other. The primary conductor carries a current to be measured, with a driving circuit, for producing a triangular current, injected into the compensating winding. An evaluation circuit switches the output signal thereof from a first to a second output level and vice versa by a zero crossing of a signal, provided by the magnetic field probe, whereby the output signal is pulse-width modulated, depending on the intensity of the current to be measured.</p> |
