PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of freely selecting binding treatment reflecting the desire of a user in the conditions of the number of sheets to be treated and the thickness of a bunch of sheets, and its aftertreatment method and aftertreatment device. SOLUTION: An image forming system includes an image forming device 2 and an aftertreatment device 1 for binding a bunch of sheets 4 discharged from the image forming device 2. The aftertreatment device 1 has a plurality of binding means for binding the bunch of sheets, such as adhesive applying means 9, half-branking binding means 11, staple binding means 12 and temporarily binding means 13, at least one of the plurality of binding means being selectable automatically or manually, so that the aftertreatment of the bunch of sheets can be performed by the selected binding means and the desire of a user can be reflected in optimum selection of the binding means. |
