FIELD: metallurgy, namely continuous casting of billets of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys. ^ SUBSTANCE: plant includes movable mold in the form of two equivalent sets of separate closely abutted shaping members and power motion drive unit. Said two sets are mutually connected by means of chain transmissions; inner surfaces of shaping members of sets define configuration of cast billet. On outer surfaces of shaping members lugs are formed for mounting axles coupled by means of two chain transmissions arranged in the same plane and mutually spaced. In working position said axles are arranged at level of upper planes of shaping members. ^ EFFECT: improved efficiency of continuous casting plants, lowered cost price of products. ^ 4 cl, 5 dwg |
