摘要 FIELD: processes for applying corrosion-resistant self-lubricating oxide coating on steel surface, possibly for parts operating in condition of friction units, metal plating, radio electronics, paint and varnish industry branch. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of oxidizing with use of electric current in electrolyte while providing metal oxide deposition with use of alternating asymmetric current in acidic electrolyte containing salts of copper, nickel, cobalt or cadmium, passivating agent and stabilizing agent at relation of cathode and anode components of electric current 1.5 :1 or 2 : 1 at voltage 15 V or 20 V respectively. ^ EFFECT: enhanced corrosion resistance and wear resistance of steel surface, lowered power consumption of method. ^ 4 ex
