A fine concentrate briquette containing an iron source in such an amount that is re-injected into a steelmaking container and suitably used as an iron source and a method for producing the same are provided, and a fine concentrate briquette capable of performing an iron source function as well as a molten steel refining function and a method for producing the same are provided to reduce consumption of a flux for refining. A fine concentrate briquette comprises: 50 to 65 wt.% of Fe, 30 to 45 wt.% of nonmetallic mineral-phase components contained in steelmaking slag, and 2 to 5 wt.% of an organic binder. The nonmetallic mineral-phase components contained in steelmaking slag comprise, as a relative weight ratio except the Fe, 40 to 52 wt.% of CaO, 20 to 26 wt.% of Al2O3, 10 to 15 wt.% of SiO2, 6 to 8 wt.% of MgO, 4 to 5 wt.% of MnO and the balance of inevitable impurities. A method for producing a fine concentrate briquette comprises: a first step of sorting a slag containing 50 to 65% of Fe from a steelmaking slag; a second step of mixing the sorted slag and an organic binder together with water; a third step of press-molding the slag/organic binder mixture mixed along with water into briquettes; and a fourth step of drying and curing the press-molded slag/organic binder mixture in a temperature range of 100 to 300 deg.C. |
