FIELD: technology for checking plated cores of electric machines for presence of inter-layer short circuits. ^ SUBSTANCE: method includes placing yoke of magnet near at least one tooth of core, while magnet yoke is coiled around with winding and has shorting element, touching at least one tooth and shorting plates of this tooth. Electric current is fed into winding for inducing magnetic flow at least in one tooth of core.
