FIELD: sectional glass forming machines for molding of glass articles. ^ SUBSTANCE: mechanism has blowing head assembly, means for supporting of blowing head assembly, first means for moving said supporting means so as to move said blowing head assembly between remote upper position and extended lower position. Blowing head assembly comprises blowing pipe selectively movable between upper position and lower position, second means for moving blowing pipe from upper position downward to lower position and then back to upper position. Second moving means has profiled drive including motion profile for controlling movement of blowing pipe from upper position to lower position. Motion profile is selectively coordinated with bottle cooling requirements upon movement of blowing pipe from upper position to lower position. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency in withdrawal of heat from molded bottle. ^ 5 cl, 32 dwg |
