DEVICE FOR SEPARATION OF DETACHABLE SECTION FROM MAIN ITEM

FIELD: separation of section of flying vehicles; rocketry and space engineering for separation of additional propellant section from main item after utilization of propellant. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed device has spring-loaded roller supports and guide tracks. Spring-loaded roller supports are mounted on main item and guide tracks are mounted in parallel with longitudinal axis on inner members of detachable section mounted coaxially relative to main item. Guide tracks are mounted in two pairs which are diametrically opposite to said longitudinal axis and symmetrically relative to longitudinal plane passing through this axis; they are located at angle relative to longitudinal plane with vertex towards longitudinal axis. Located along each guide track are three spring-loaded roller supports which are brought in contact with guide track End supports are engageable with guide track at points which are equidistant from longitudinal plane; points of contact of middle supports are equidistant relative to longitudinal line connecting the points of contact of end spring-loaded roller supports away from longitudinal plane. Provision is made for relative shift of guide tracks and inner members of detachable section. Axes of symmetry of spring-loaded roller supports are perpendicular to surface of respective guide tracks. Surfaces of spring-loaded roller supports which are brought in contact with guide tracks are spherical in shape. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability of structure and separation process. ^ 6 dwg
