An interactive Java Midlet management method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to be capable of managing a standby screen through a user's particular selection as setting Java Midlet to a standby screen without restrictions, thus various contents are running at the same time. A JAM(Java Application Manager)(30) comprises as follows. A standby screen setup unit(32) enables a user to designate whether to set downloaded Java Midlet to a standby screen. If the user sets the Java Midlet to the standby screen, a screen setup unit(34) enables the user to select whether to use an overall screen altogether or to divide the screen to use divided screens. If interrupt is generated during execution of the Java Midlet, a screen lock unit(36) provides an enable mode and a disable mode for allowing the user to designate whether to operate the Java Midlet.
