There is provided an electric cable coloring device capable of increasing the service life of an electromagnetic valve. The electric cable coloring device (1) includes a coloring nozzle (31) for spraying a coloring material, a signal generation unit (53), and a control device (19). The coloring nozzle (31) includes an electromagnetic valve (51). The signal generation unit (53) outputs a signal for spraying a coloring material from the coloring nozzle (31), to a CPU (62) and a drive circuit (64) of the control device (19). The CPU (62) outputs a signal for holding the open state of the electromagnetic valve (51) to the drive circuit (64) while the frequency of the signal from the signal generation unit (53) exceeds a predetermined frequency. When a signal is inputted from the CPU (62) or the signal generation unit (53), the drive circuit (64) applies a spike voltage to a coil (40) of the electromagnetic valve (51) and applies a hold voltage. The drive circuit (64) applies a spike voltage while a signal is inputted from the CPU (62) or the signal generation unit (53) and then continues applying a hold voltage.
