LITHIUM ION BATTERY AND METHOD OF LONG TERM CONSERVATION FOR THE SAME

A lithium ion battery and a long-term preservation method of a lithium ion battery are provided to maintain a chargeable state even after being left for a long time. The lithium ion battery comprises: a bare cell in which an electrode assembly is provided within a case, wherein the electrode assembly has two electrodes and a separator for preventing a short circuit between the two electrodes; and a protective circuit that is connected to two electrode taps and has a connection terminal with the outside, wherein the electrode taps are drawn from the two electrodes of the electrode assembly and pass through the case. The protective circuit has a battery remaining power management circuit capable of automatically recognizing a long-term negligence state of a battery and interrupting an electric current between the bare cell and the protective circuit.
