The mattress has a support base, a reinforcement contour extending to the sides of the mattress, and an inflatable core arranged on the support base. The support base is covered with a woven layer and watertight layer. An air valve is arranged with the inflatable core at the side of the reinforcement contour for controlled air passage into the inflatable core. A pressure distribution plate is arranged on the inflatable core. The woven layer is arranged to cover the whole mattress except for the fuse of the air valve which is exposed to the outside.
