The generator has a management card (36) controlling switching units and modulation channels to generate signal for analog or digital television using same modulation card (34). The switching units are adapted to switch two pairs of digital signals to be modulated towards respective modulation channels. The card (34) modulates one pair of signals conforming to norms and/or standards of analog television. - Independent claims are also included for the following: - (A) a signal transmitter for television comprising a signal generator - (B) a method for generation of signal for television with a digital modulator - (C) an information medium readable by a computer system has instructions permitting to implement signal generation method - (D) a computer program stored on an information medium has instructions permitting to implement signal generation method.
