The shelf (1) has additional shelves (3a, 3b) supported by a main shelf (2). Connection tabs (20a, 20b) kinematically connect the additional shelves to backrests of rear seats such that forward movement of the backrests longitudinally transfers the shelves (3a,3b) with respect to the main shelf from an initial storage position in the main shelf to an forward disengaged position of the main shelf. The rotation of the shelves along an axis in the disengaged position delivers a free space between a front edge of the main shelf and rear faces (6a, 6b) of the backrests when the tabs are disengaged.
