An electric safety iron using electromagnet is provided to separate a heating plate of the iron with predetermined height by automatically projecting a lifting support device when putting the iron on the ironed materials, thereby preventing iron materials from being burned. An electric safety iron using electromagnet comprises: a heating plate(1) mounted at the lower part unit to operate ironing by adhering to ironed materials; a handle unit(2) mounted at the upside part; up and down lifting support devices(3,4) appearing and disappearing in both side directions of the heating plate at the lower side of a iron body(A); insertion bars projected at the upside of the up and down lifting support device, and made of a permanent magnet having a single polarity; electromagnet bobbins(7,8) magnetized by the magnetic field at the upside of the up and down lifting support device; an insertion hole(9) formed in the electromagnet bobbin; and coils(11,12) for generating magnetic field in inputting electricity, and changing polarity at the outer peripheral surface of the electromagnet bobbin. A bridge diode, a condenser, and first and second relay switches are connected to the coil so as to supply necessary current. |
