<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner conveying device capable of achieving improvement in operability without making an image forming apparatus larger in size than necessary. <P>SOLUTION: A toner supply device is constituted of: a toner container; a shutter capable of moving by receiving driving from a main body side; at least one engaging projection provided on the body side; a container guide part engaged with the engaging projection so as to guide the toner container in an inserting direction when the toner container is inserted; a container positioning part provided on the container guide part and engaged with the engaging projection so as to position the toner container when the toner container is attached to the body; and a non-interchanging part provided on at least one container guide part and butting against the engaging projection when a container other than the predetermined toner container is inserted in the body so as to prevent the erroneous insertion of the container in the main body. In the toner supply device, clearance between the container positioning part and the engaging projection is set to be smaller than clearance between the outer periphery of the toner container and the wall of the device body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
