<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome a damage and a detachment in a fixing section if a trough is repetitively contracted and expanded in the longitudinal direction due to a temperature change. <P>SOLUTION: The harness protector 1 comprises sub protector bodies 3, 4 having a fixing section 5, and a main protector body 2 combined with the sub protector bodies and inserting an electric wire 21 along with the sub protector bodies 3, 4. A distortion absorbing section 8 is provided in one of the sub protector bodies and the main protector body. An engagement section 9 is provided in the other of the sub protector bodies and main protector body, and oppositely has faces 9a, 9b abutting on the distortion absorbing section 8 in the inserting direction of the electric wire. The distortion absorbing section 8 comprises protrusions 6 provided on walls 15, 16 in one of the sub protector bodies and the main protector body, and flexible sections 7 oppositely protruding from the protrusions in the inserting direction of the electric wire. The engagement section are holes 9 or grooves provided on walls 10, 11 in the other of the sub protector bodies and the main protector body.
