PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cooled engine having improved assembling efficiency while preventing the leakage of water from a hose connection part by reducing hose connection positions to reduce the number of components. SOLUTION: A cooling water passage is provided ranging from a water pump 24 mounted on a crank case 15 through a cylinder 16 and a cylinder head 19 where heat is radiated by a radiator 10, back to the water pump 24. A delivery passage 40A from the water pump 24 to the cylinder 16 is integrally formed in the crank case 15. A head exit passage 40D for delivering cooling water sideways from the approximate center of the front part of the cylinder head 19 is integrally formed in the cylinder head 19.
