摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine profitable for cooling intake air in an in-cylinder combustion chamber even if fuel injection quantity is low and capable of improving intake air charging efficiency and anti-knocking performance. SOLUTION: In the control device for the internal combustion engine provided with a cylinder injection valve injecting fuel to the in-cylinder combustion chamber, an injection ratio control means reducing injection ratio of fuel injection as compared with a case that an engine operation condition is in a predetermined second area other than a first area when the engine operation condition is in the predetermined first area in which cooling of intake air in the in-cylinder combustion chamber by fuel is necessary is provided. As injection ratio is reduced, injection period can be extended and that is profitable for cooling intake air in the in-cylinder combustion chamber. Temperature rise of intake air which is cooled once by receiving heat or the like from an inner wall of the combustion chamber is inhibited.
