PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which contains a polylactic acid resin and has excellent transparency, heat resistance and fluidity and a shaped article composed of the resin composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition is a mixture of (A) a polylactic acid-based resin and (B) a methacrylic-based resin. The methacrylic-based resin (B) is a resin composition containing not less than two kinds of methacrylic-based resins satisfying at least either of (a) the difference in the glass transition temperature of not less than 10°C and (b) the difference in the syndiotacticity of not less than 3%. Preferably, at least one of the methacrylic-based resin (B) contains a methacrylic-based resin having a weight average molecular weight of 50,000-450,000, a glass transition temperature of not lower than 110°C and a syndiotacticity of not less than 40%.
