PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having high storage elastic modulus (G') and small loss tangent (tanδ). SOLUTION: The rubber composition is produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.mass of a rubber component composed of at least one kind of rubber selected from natural rubber and synthetic diene rubber and (B) 2-60 pts.mass of a low-molecular-weight aromatic vinyl compound-conjugated diene compound copolymer containing 5-80 mass% aromatic vinyl compound, and having a vinyl bonding amount of the conjugated diene compound of 5-80 mass% and a polystyrene-reduced molecular weight of 5,000-500,000 determined by gel-permeation chromatography and containing at least one nitrogen-containing functional group.
