PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wing type vehicle cargo compartment, in which a normal height state can be changed to a low roof state, and which is easy-to-use in either state. SOLUTION: This vehicle cargo compartment 1 comprises a platform 11, front supports and rear supports erected on the platform 11, a ceiling member 12 of which front and rear end parts are vertically movably supported by the front and the rear supports, and wings 2 vertically rotatably suspended at side parts of the ceiling member 12 to compose side surface upper parts of the vehicle cargo compartment 1. The wings 2 comprise a plurality of panels 2a and 2b connected vertically to shorten vertical length. By folding the plurality of panels 2a and 2b to be overlapped in the thickness direction to be held, and lowering the ceiling member 12, the vehicle cargo compartment 1 is changed from the normal height state into the low roof state.
