PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for drying the laundry with excellent touch, with high energy efficiency, capable of reducing the quantity of carbon dioxide emission, and applying excellent touch to the dried fiber product. SOLUTION: Part of medium-temperature moist air absorbing the evaporated moisture of the laundry to be emitted is circulated in a steam-heat exchanger, and the mixed air with the circulated medium-temperature moist air and low-temperature outside air is heated by the steam-heat exchanger to be changed to high-temperature dry air which can include a large quantity of steam. The high-temperature dry air is sprayed to the laundry to dry the laundry while evaporating and absorbing the moisture of the laundry. The high-temperature dry air is cooled with the evaporation effect to be changed to medium-temperature moist air, and the laundry is dried repeatedly under the contact with the medium-temperature moist air. The method and apparatus for drying the laundry with excellent touch is for effectively drying the laundry bulkily and with excellent touch by repeating the above procedure.
