<p>In a rectally insertable surgical system (1), a sleeve device (2) having a proximal end and a distal end (16) is open at its proximal end and has a window area (20) longitudinally extending on one side of the sleeve device (2) up to its distal end region. A shield (4) is adapted to slide along the sleeve device (2) to at least partially close the window area (20). The sleeve device (2) including the shield (4) is insertable into an anus dilator ring (6).</p>
