PURPOSE: Multifunctional water treating composition and method of water-treating using the same are provided to prevent corrosion, scale formation, and bacteria growth in a cooling system. CONSTITUTION: The composition is composed of bacteria restrainer of 0.05-15 wt.%, scale restrainer of 0.5-50 wt.%, organic phosphonate of 0.2-30 wt.% based on organic phosphonate ion, orthophosphate or zinc salt of 0.1-30 wt.% based on orthophosphate or zinc salt ion, nitrate of 0.02-20 wt.%. |
