<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transporting vehicle with reduced weight loads and driving loads on a driving system and reduced frequency of maintenance, and capable of stably turning a corner even if loaded with a heavy material or a material having an eccentric center of gravity. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of spherical wheels 3 and 3 are arranged under a front side of a car body frame 2 of the automatic transporting vehicle 1, and a pair of wheels 4 and 4 are arranged under a rear side of the car body frame 2, and a pair of steering wheels 5R and 5L are provided under an intermediate part of the car body frame 2. The pair of spherical wheels 3 and 3 and the pair of wheels 4 and 4 support most of the weight of the automatic transporting vehicle 1 and the weight of a transported material, and the steering wheels 5R and 5L rotate on the floor surface to decide traveling direction. The pair of spherical wheels 3 and 3 are held freely to change rotating direction thereof, and a spherical wheel sensor 10 detects movement of a ball 9 of the spherical wheel 3, and a control means 11 measures moving direction and moving quantity of the automatic transporting vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
