PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat panel display device having a structure wherein a getter box does not peel off even if flat panel display device is deformed by bending and tearing force is applied to the getter box. SOLUTION: In this flat panel display device, the getter box 40 is bonded to a first panel CP, where an axis line passing the central point of the getter box 40 is an X-axis, a coordinate of the support part 60A is on origin, and c is length of the getter box 40 in the X-axis direction when the flat panel display device is freely supported with support parts 60A, 60B, r is radius of curvature in a part of the flat panel display device corresponding to the central point of a getter box when it assumes that the getter box does not exist, the length c of the getter box in an X-axis direction and the position of the getter box are determined so that the amount t of virtual float amount calculated by a formula (1) becomes 3×10<SP>-2</SP>mm or less.
