PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately grind an end surface with a larger diameter of a workpiece in a truncated cone shape into a spherical face without causing a sag. SOLUTION: In a device for grinding the end surface 34 with a larger diameter of a workpiece 11 in a truncated cone shape into a spherical face, a lower rotary table 13 rotated by a first driver and an upper rotary table 12 rotated and axially moved by a second driver are positioned to be vertically stacked. A workpiece guide member without a rotary driver for arranging a plurality of workpieces 11 in a circumferential direction with the larger diameter side outward is provided between the lower table 13 and the upper table 12. A guide 20 in contact with part of the end surface 34 at the larger diameter side of the workpiece 11 for guiding is provided outward from the upper and lower tables 12 and 13, and non-rotating grinding wheels 17A-17D pressurized by air cylinders 50 to come into contact with the other part of the end surface 34 at the larger diameter side of the workpiece 11 are provided.
