<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a color filter which allows formation of a black image with less unevenness in the line width and high definition using a suitable photosensitive composition without using a photomask, and which ensures lower cost and superior display properties, and a color filter excellent in display properties produced by the method and a liquid crystal display that uses the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a color filter includes an exposure step of exposing a photosensitive layer formed of a photosensitive composition and located on a substrate surface, wherein the photosensitive composition contains a binder, a polymerizable compound, a colorant and a photopolymerization initiator, an average particle diameter of a pigment contained in the colorant is at most 100 nm, and the content of the pigment in the solid content of the photosensitive composition is at least 30 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
