<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost reinforced porcelain with a high thermal expansion coefficient and bending strength after sintering, and excellent in safety at breakdown of the reinforced porcelain basis material, and a method for producing the reinforced porcelain excellent in plasticity at the time of forming and capable of firing at lower temperatures. <P>SOLUTION: This reinforced porcelain comprises, each on an oxide basis, 25-55 mass% silicon dioxide, 40-70 mass% aluminum oxide, 1-7 mass% alkali metal oxide, 0.5-7 mass% magnesium oxide and 0.3-7 mass% zinc oxide, and has ≥5.8×10<SP>-6</SP>/K thermal expansion coefficient and ≥195 MPa average bending strength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
