<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality. <P>SOLUTION: This developing unit has a developer carrier, a 1st developer transfer member parallel to the developer carrier to transfer the developer in the axial direction, and a 2nd developer transfer member parallel to the 1st developer transfer section to transfer the developer in the axial direction. The 1st developer transfer section moves the developer from the edges to the center in a developer reservoir. The 2nd developer transfer section moves the developer from the center to the edges in the developer reservoir. The 1st developer transfer member is set to move more developer than the 2nd developer transfer member. Accordingly, the developer reservoir has more developer at the center and less at the edge, thus the developer is prevented from aggregating at the edge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
